Hardly any of the participants in the "Bach na Fahrt" - the traditional river-rafting competition in
Schramberg - stay dry. 40 teams venture on to the 500 m course on the Schiltach with their imaginative vessels on Carnival Monday from 1.00 pm. Up to 20,000 spectators honour the athletes who managed it with the appreciative rallying cry "Furz-Trocka" (bone-dry). There is only a gleeful "Bätsch-Nass" (soaking wet) for the others.
