Hardly any of the participants in the "Bach na Fahrt" - the traditional river-rafting competition in
Schramberg - stay dry. 40 teams venture on to the 500m course on the Schiltach with their imaginative vessels on Carnival Monday from 1.00 pm. Up to 20,000 spectators honour the athletes who managed it with the appreciative rallying cry "Furz-Trocka" (bone-dry). There is only a gleeful "Bätsch-Nass" (soaking wet) for the others.
