Description
The town of Schramberg is located in the valley of the Schiltach, and its districts are on the surrounding high plateau. The Göttelbach, Kirnbach, Berneck and Lauterbach flow into the Schramberg valley basin, which is why Schramberg is also known as the 'Fünftälerstadt' - The Town of Five Valleys. Schramberg is a stronghold of the Swabian-Alemannic carnival. The 'Bach na Fahrt', a traditional raft race held on Carnival Monday, is known far and wide and attracts up to 30,000 spectators each year.
