Description
Rottweil is located on the Neckar at the eastern edge of the Black Forest. The Rottweil Carnival is one of the oldest of the Swabian-Alemannic 'Fasnet' and is steeped in tradition.
In 2017, the TK Elevator Test Tower was opened in Rottweil, featuring Germany's highest publicly accessible observation deck at a height of 232 meters. Since April 2026, the spectacular "Neckarline" suspension footbridge has connected the city with the "Berner Feld"—the site where the Test Tower is located.
