Description

Furtwangen is the highest-situated town in Baden-Württemberg; it lies in the valley of the upper Breg, one of the two headstreams of the Danube. The town is widely known for its clockmaking tradition, which can be impressively experienced at the German Clock Museum. Other popular excursion destinations include Mount Brend (with its observation tower), the Hexenlochmühle, and the source of the Danube near the Martinskapelle chapel.

In the area surrounding Furtwangen, scenic hiking trails, mountain bike routes, and cross-country ski tracks invite visitors to actively explore the natural landscape.
