The highlight of the Katharinenmarkt (St. Catherine's Market) in
Seelbach at the end of November is the grand festival procession on Monday afternoon, with all kinds of historical figures from the history of the village and the Lords of Hohengeroldseck. Amongst other things, the "17 ell Katharinenwurst" (St. Catherine's sausage) (photo) is carried to the village hall, where the "Katharinenwurstessen" (St. Catherine's sausage feast) traditionally takes place after the historical procession.
