The
Bad Peterstal militia celebrates its four-day traditional homeland and patron saint festival 'Peter and Paul' every year on the first weekend of July. The highlight of the festival is on Sunday with the solemn High Mass in the Catholic parish church followed by the procession and march of the militia. The militia also marches through the town at 2.00 pm (photo: lining up before the march). A large marquee and a fun fair with various attractions for children can be found on the festival site near Bad Peterstal railway station.
