The flowering of the crocuses in
Bad Teinach-Zavelstein is not an event in the real sense, but it attracts thousands of visitors every year. The crocus meadows near Zavelstein are the only places in Baden-Württemberg where the crocus (also known as the "spring saffron") grows wild. The meadows are dotted with thousands of crocuses each year from around the beginning of March. The visitors enjoy the splendour of the flowers during a leisurely spring walk and also the start of spring itself.
