The carpet of flowers in
Mühlenbach on Corpus Christi Day is approx. 1 km long! Numerous helpers lay the flower carpet with sumptuous patterns and motifs each year in the night before Corpus Christi Day and from the early morning. The millions of flowers and blossoms needed are collected days before. The festive day begins with a religious service in the church of St. Afra at 9.00 am, followed by the procession, which is interrupted by further sermons at 4 altars erected for this purpose.
