The annual highlights of the Swabian-Alemannic Fastnet (carnival) includes the Jumping of the Fools in
Rottweil. On Carnival Monday from 8.00 am, the carnival revellers stream into the town centre through the Schwarze Tor (Black Gate), perform their jumps and play their mischievous tricks on the spectators. There is another chance to see the procession at 8.00 am and 2.00 pm on Fasnetsdienstag (Shrove Tuesday).
