In actual fact, cross-country-skiing is possible in the entire Black Forest (at an appropriate altitude). An extensive network of long-distance cross-country skiing trails and local cross-country skiing trails makes it possible to cross the length and breadth of the Black Forest.
Description
Distinguished areas for cross-country skiing:
- The area around the Black Forest High Road ,
as well as further places on the high plateaus in the Northern Black Forest, Freudenstadt, Loßburg, Seewald, Simmersfeld, Neuweiler, Schömberg, Dobel.
- The area in the central Black Forest around Triberg, Schonach, Schönwald, Furtwangen and St. Georgen
- The "Belchenland" around Aitern, Fröhnd, Schönau, Tunau, Utzenfeld and Wembach
- The Todtnauer Ferienland in the Southern Black Forest
- The Feldberg area
- Skiing trails Schonach - Belchen, Hinterzarten - Schluchsee
