Description

The Hünersedel, 744 m above sea level, is located at the border of the communities of Schuttertal and Freiamt. The observation tower was opened in 2004 and offers a magnificent panoramic view over the Central Black Forest, the Rhine plain to Strasbourg and the Vosges Mountains.

The Hünersedel can be included in a number of the splendid hiking tours available in the area. People who prefer to take things easier use the nearest parking area for hikers. This is only approx. 500 m from the viewing tower. The Hünersedel is well signposted from Freiamt-Brettental.
