Description
The Hünersedel, 744 m above sea level, is located at the border of the communities of Schuttertal and Freiamt. The vewing tower was opened in 2004 and offers a magnificent panoramic view over the Central Black Forest, the Rhine flood plain to Strasbourg and the Voges Mountains.
The Hünersedel can be included in a number of the splendid hiking tours available in the area. People who prefer to take things easier use the nearest parking area for hikers. This is only approx. 500m from the viewing tower. The Hünersedel is well signposted from Freiamt-Brettental.
