Description

The municipality of Au im Breisgau is situated south of Freiburg at the entrance to the Hexental valley, between the Schönberg to the west and the Black Forest to the east. Characterized by vineyards and the gentle foothills of the Black Forest, the village offers beautiful views towards the Rhine Plain. Its close proximity to Freiburg makes Au an ideal starting point for excursions into the city, as well as to the southern Black Forest and the Markgräflerland region.
