Description
Many different traditional costumes developed in the Black Forest over the centuries. The Bollenhut, a traditional ladies' hat topped with pom-poms, is the most well known, of course, but the museum shows that there were a large number of traditional costumes in the Black Forest which are just as interesting and well worth seeing. The design of the traditional costumes was influenced by the spirit of the times, fashion, prosperity, poverty and religious denomination.
